The Ulemas are unanimous
It is permissible for the woman at the ihrâm to wear the women's
clothes she wishes provided they are without ornaments, that they do not
resemble those of men that they are not narrow to the point of conforming to
the shape of the body, that they are not transparent so as to reveal what they
are supposed to conceal. Lastly, they should not be short so as to allow
the feet and hands to appear. They must be long, non-transparent and
ample.
The
Ulemas are unanimous as to the permission granted to the woman in ihrâm state to put on a
tunic, a loose dress, trousers, khimâr or
sandals. She is not obliged to wear clothes of a specific color such as
green. She can wear the clothes she wants regardless of their colors: red,
green, black, etc. In addition, she has the right to change clothes if she
wants.
It is
recommended to the woman to pronounce the talbiya after the ihramin a voice strong enough for her to hear it herself. However,
it is reprehensible for her to raise her voice, and this in order to avoid any
temptation. This is the reason why he is not allowed to make the adhân(call to prayer) nor the iqâmah (announcement of the
beginning of the prayer). Similarly, in order to draw the Imam's attention
to any error, the woman is advised to clap her hands and not to pronounce the tasbîhaloud.
During
the tawaf , it is up
to the woman to put on a complete veil, to lower her voice, to lower her gaze,
not to jostle men, especially to make their way through the Black Stone or the
Yemenite Corner. It is advocated to do the tawaf in the outer circles, far from the crowd. It is
because it is forbidden to shake men, for this entails temptations.Getting
closer to the Ka`ba and embracing the Black Stone are supererogatory acts that
must be accomplished without hindrance or difficulty. It is not fitting to
commit a sin to accomplish a Sunnah. In
this respect, the woman is advised to make a sign from afar in the direction of
the Black Stone when it passes parallel to the place where it is located.
